Willkommen! Bienvenue! . FÜR MICH ist Frankreich das Land der Freiheit. - Uri Avnery - 16. Juli 2016 - Als ich gerade 10 Jahre alt war, floh ich mit meiner Familie von Nazi-Deutschland nach Frankreich, auf unserem Weg nach Palästina. Wir befürchteten, an der Grenze verhaftet zu werden. Als unser Zug den Rhein überquerte, wir Deutschland hinter uns ließen und in Frankreich einreisten, atmete ich tief durch. Aus der Tyrannei in die Freiheit, von der Hölle ins Paradies.
 
Ich vergaß dieses Gefühl nie. Immer, wenn ich Frankreich besuchte, überkam es mich.
 
Ich erinnerte mich diese Woche wieder daran, als ich einen viel zitierten  TV “Untersuchungsbericht” über “Antisemitismus in Frankreich” sah. Es war ein Haufen Propaganda-Nonsens.
 
"ANTI-SEMITISMUS IN Frankreich" ist nun der letzte Schrei in Israel. Eine riesiger Propagandaaufwand wird in diese Kampagne investiert. Das Ziel ist, die französischen Juden dazu bewegen, nach Israel zu kommen, um "Alija zu machen" (eine entsetzliche Entstellung des Hebräischen).

Juden in Frankreich sind laut "Untersuchungsberichten'' mit einer furchtbaren Gefahr konfrontiert. Sie können einen zweiten Holocaust jeden Moment erwarten. Sie werden auf den Straßen angegriffen. Sie haben Angst, die Kippa in der Öffentlichkeit zu tragen. Zum Wohl ihrer Kinder müssen sie nach Israel kommen. Und zwar schnellstens, - jetzt!
 
Als ich mir den TV-Bericht näher ansah, bemerkte ich eine Besonderheit: fast alle männlichen Juden, die interviewt wurden, trugen eine Kippa. Seltsam, ich habe kaum jemals einen französischen Juden getroffen, der eine Kippa trug.
 
Dann bemerkte ich eine weitere Besonderheit: es erschien mir, als ob alle Juden, die interviewt wurden, wie Nordafrikaner aussahen, besonders algerisch. >>>

Wir führen dieses Interview per E-Mail, denn Sie sind im Gazastreifen und kommen dort nicht mehr heraus. Warum sind Sie – trotz einer Reisewarnung des Auswärtigen Amtes – dorthin gefahren?

Meine Mutter lag im Krankenhaus. Sie ist 82 Jahre, und meine Schwester und ich wollten sie ein letztes Mal sehen. Meine Schwester lebt in Kanada, und wir trafen uns am 18. März in Amman in Jordanien, um gemeinsam in den Gazastreifen zu reisen. Wir erhielten von den israelischen Behörden eine Sondergenehmigung und konnten am 20. März über den Erez-Grenzübergang einreisen.

Warum können Sie nicht genau so nach Deutschland zurückkehren?

Als wir im April wieder ausreisen wollten, erhielten wir keine Genehmigung. Meine Schwester konnte mit Hilfe der kanadischen Botschaft am 25. Mai ausreisen, ich warte hier noch immer. Um über den israelischen Grenzübergang Erez nach Jordanien fahren zu können, brauche ich von den israelischen Behörden eine Sondergenehmigung. Die gilt für einen Tag, also nur für den Transit. Um diese Sondergenehmigung zu erteilen, verlangen die israelischen Behörden eine »Non-Impediment«-Erklärung der jordanischen Behörden. Das ist eine Art Unbedenklichkeitsbescheinigung, die besagt, dass Jordanien keine Einwände gegen meine Einreise erhebt. >>>

Israel’s longest-serving conscientious objector Tair Kaminer was granted exemption from military service on Thursday after spending nearly 150 days in an IDF prison.

On Thursday morning a military committee found that Kaminer, 19, was not fit for military service due to her “poor and severe behavior” — namely the fact that she refused to serve in the army due to her opposition to its policies in the occupied territories. >>>

The streets in the Israel-controlled section of Hebron were sunny and silent at 9 a.m. on Friday morning. The Palestinian shops on the main streets were all shut, as most of them have been for over 20 years. Jews were home preparing for Shabbat. >>>

Europäische Lizenz für Israelische Folter: Law Train, das gemeinsame Projekt der EU und Israel
Palestinian Grassroots Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign - 30.05.2016

Neue Besorgnis wächst, nachdem Aktivisten die EU-Israel-Partnerschaft im Law-Train-Projekt im Rahmen von EU Horizon 2020 entdeckt haben. Das Projekt will die Verhörmethodik zwischen israelischen und EU-Polizeikräften vereinheitlichen und ist de facto eine Normalisierung der grausamsten Praktiken in Israel, einschließlich physischer und psychischer Folter, Misshandlung, willkürlicher Verhaftung, Drohungen und rassischer Diskriminierung. Mit dem Risiko der Verbreitung der israelischen Praktiken in EU-Ländern riskieren europäische Justizsysteme auch die Intensivierung unmenschlicher Behandlung. Indem die EU die israelischen Systeme der Unterdrückung wie die unmenschlichen Foltertechniken als legal anerkennt, verletzt sie ihre Verpflichtungen nach dem internationalen Recht.

Stop the Wall hat seine Aufklärungs-Kampagne (advocacy campaign) über die EU-israelische Zusammenarbeit im Rahmen von EU Horizon 2020 begonnen. Wir haben weiterhin unsere Besorgnis über die laufende Zusammenarbeit zwischen der EU und Israel und das Law Train-Projekt ausgedrückt, das unter anderem auf den israelischen Erfahrungswerten mit illegalen und inhumanen Verhörtechniken basiert, die alles anschaulich vor Augen führt, was diese Kooperation jetzt zu beenden hat. Ziel des Projekts ist es, Verhörmethoden zu vereinheitlichen und Verhörfertigkeiten sowie die Kooperation zwischen Polizeieinheiten verschiedener Länder zu verbessern. Die Risiken einer solchen Kooperation bestehen nicht nur in der Legitimierung illegaler israelischer Praktiken, sonern auch in der Verbreitung von rassistischen, illegalen, inhumanen Techniken sowie Islamophobie in europäischen Ländern.   Quelle  siehe auch  - Übersetzung: K. Europe still funding Israeli torture, drones and racial profiling #Boycott - Maren Mantovani - It is time for European citizens to demand not a penny more of their tax money be spent on Israeli military and security corporations
As European leaders are gathered in Brussels to discuss the future of the EU, they would be well advised to put into effect values of accountability, justice and solidarity - and halt funding for Israel's repressive apparatus against Palestinian youth.

The EU has funnelled hundreds of millions of euros to sustain Israel’s regime of occupation and apartheid through its research and development funding schemes.

Protests are currently growing against "Lawtrain", a five million Euro project funded by the EU that brings together the Israeli Ministry for Public Security and the Israeli National Police with their counterparts from Belgium, Portugal and Spain. Lawtrain sees companies, universities and research institutes coming together to develop technology that unifies methodology for police interrogations. >>>

How the Israel lobby promotes corporate impunity - "What is at stake with the attacks against the BDS movement is the possibility of a myriad of social justice movements to hold corporations accountable: if Israel’s logic aimed at suppressing the BDS movement passes, it will shield corporations from accountability for human rights abuses of all sorts, committed by whoever the corporate actor and wherever the location."

Local communities, social movements and solidarity campaigns all over the world are struggling against the disastrous effects of the operations of multinational corporations and the impunity political and legal systems grant them. A long and diverse history of struggles across the globe has given us the possibility to learn and draw inspiration from, and build on examples and mechanisms to stop these corporations and hold them accountable for their crimes. From direct actions, to strikes, boycotts, divestments and shareholder actions up to court cases to stop the companies and demand reparations, movements have worked to raise awareness and claim justice.

The movement for boycotts, divestment and sanctions (BDS), launched in 2005 by Palestinian civil society, for example, has been profoundly inspired by encounters with South African movements and former anti-apartheid campaigners. The movement also references and connects to other struggles aimed at stopping colonial conquests, such as the boycotts in Ireland and India, and against regimes of racial segregations, such as the US Civil Rights movement. In these cases economic boycotts and pressure have been exerted in order to undermine the sustainability and economic profitability of repressive political regimes.

‘To defend western freedom,’ U.S. must preserve Egyptian tyranny Middle East - James North -   13. 7. 2016 10  - Since 2011, the United States has sent more than $6.4 billion in military aid to Egypt, while continuing to mute criticism of the dictatorship’s massive human rights violations. How much does Israel’s influence explain this inexcusable American policy? Michael Oren, the former Israeli ambassador to Washington, provided key evidence in his memoir a year ago. He says openly he opposed the pro-democracy Tahrir Square uprising in January 2011, and he even admits he regularly telephoned then-President Hosni Mubarak’s envoy to the U.S., encouraging Egypt to resist the demonstrators. Such a stance seems odd coming from a nation that boasts that it is the only democracy in the Middle East, but Oren explained by quoting a senior Israeli approvingly: “‘Why won’t Americans face the truth?’ one frustrated Israeli ex-general exclaimed to me. ‘To defend Western freedom, they must preserve Middle Eastern tyranny.’” >>>

Petition: Protect Palestinian Refugees from Syria - Working for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. -

Yesterday, MPs, peers and charities joined together at an event in the Palace of Westminster to mark the second anniversary of the 2014 attacks on Gaza. Among those speaking at the event were MAP CEO Tony Laurance and former MAP volunteer surgeon and current Member of Parliament for Central Ayrshire Dr Philippa Whitford MP. Both spoke about the current crisis in Palestinian health and wellbeing posed by the slow pace of reconstruction following the conflict, and the blockade and closure of Gaza now in its tenth year.

Those attending were supposed to also be addressed by Dr Yasser Abu Jamei, Executive Director of the Gaza Community Mental Health Programme. Dr Abu Jamei was due to travel to the UK this week to receive an award from his alma mater, Birmingham University, and to speak about the mental health challenges face by Gaza’s 1.8 million population. As is the case for many Palestinians from Gaza, he was unable to obtain the necessary permits to travel abroad, and was therefore unable to address Parliamentarians at the event. >>>
